Awakening the Power of Your Heart.

Insight I.

A 3.5-day experiential seminar. The entry point to the Insight pathway. Open to all.

1st March 2027 · London, UK · £499

Insight I is the starting point of the Insight journey.

Over three and a half days, you take part in structured exercises, one-to-one work, group interaction and reflection. The seminar is designed to help you see what’s working in your life, what isn’t, and how you can begin to respond differently.

Insight I is experiential. In contrast to a programme you would simply listen to, this is an experience you take part in directly, in a supportive and professionally facilitated group setting.

During Insight I, you will explore:

  • How you think, respond and relate
  • What is working in your life and what is not
  • The choices and patterns that shape your experience
  • How to give and receive feedback
  • Greater honesty, openness and connection
  • Living more fully from your heart

What this seminar is

Insight I is not based on teaching concepts or giving advice.

It is a structured, experiential process in which you work directly with your own thinking, reactions, and behaviour as they arise, rather than talking about them, analysing them, or trying to change them through effort. The focus is not on learning something new, but on seeing clearly how you already operate.

This includes how you make decisions, respond under pressure, and how certain patterns repeat themselves, often without you being fully aware of them. For many people, this brings a level of clarity that is difficult to reach through reflection, discussion, or intellectual understanding alone.

It is not a course, a set of techniques, or a process of being guided towards a particular outcome. You are not given solutions, interpretations, or instructions to follow. The seminar takes place within a clearly defined structure, guided by experienced facilitators. That structure is there to create a focused, stable environment, one that allows you to engage with the work directly, without distraction or pressure.

You remain in control of how you participate throughout. There is no requirement to share personal details, speak publicly, or engage in any way that doesn’t feel appropriate. The emphasis is on direct experience, not expectation.

What matters is not what you are told, but what you become aware of for yourself, and what follows from that.

What actually happens

The seminar takes place over three and a half days, in a structured group setting. You are part of a group of participants, working within a clearly guided process led by experienced facilitators. At different points, you may be listening, observing, reflecting, or engaging directly in the process.

Rather than discussing ideas or sharing opinions, the emphasis is on noticing what is happening in your own thinking and responses, as it happens. The structure is designed to move progressively, allowing you to engage with different aspects of how you operate.

You are not required to understand everything immediately, or to “get it right”. For most people, clarity develops over time through direct experience, rather than through explanation. You choose how you participate throughout. Some people speak more, others less, both are valid ways of engaging.

There is no requirement to share personal information or to take part in anything that doesn’t feel appropriate. The facilitators guide the process and maintain the structure of the room. Their role is not to advise or interpret, but to keep the environment focused, stable, and well-held.

Most people find that what they take from the seminar comes not from what is said, but from what they are able to observe and notice for themselves.

What people get from it

What people take from Insight I varies, but there are some consistent themes in how participants describe the experience afterwards. These shifts are not presented as goals to achieve, but as outcomes that people often notice through the process itself. For some, the impact is immediate. For others, it becomes more apparent over time. There is no expectation of a particular result.

Many people report:

  • A clearer understanding of how their thinking operates, particularly in situations where they previously felt stuck or uncertain

  • Greater ability to make decisions, without the same level of hesitation or second-guessing

  • A different relationship to recurring patterns, including those linked to stress, pressure, or conflict

  • Less reliance on external validation, and a stronger sense of personal responsibility

  • An increased ability to stay with situations, rather than avoid or react to them

What tends to matter most is not the intensity of the experience, but the clarity that comes from it, and how that continues afterwards.

Who Insight I is for

Insight I is open to anyone. It is often a good fit if:

It tends to resonate if:

  • You’re functioning in your life, but something doesn’t feel quite right, even if you can’t fully explain why

  • You’ve already done some work on yourself, but still feel unclear, inconsistent, or unsettled in certain areas

  • You’re interested in understanding how you actually think and respond, rather than being given answers

  • You value clarity, structure, and a grounded approach over motivation or reassurance

  • You’re open to being in a room with people from different backgrounds and perspectives

May not be the right fit if:

  • You’re looking for quick results, clear instructions, or a step-by-step solution

  • You want to be told what to do, or given answers to follow

  • You’re expecting a purely intellectual or classroom-based experience

  • You’re not comfortable being in a shared, in-person group environment

  • You’re looking for something highly emotional, performative, or driven by intensity

A note on timing. Insight I is a developmental programme requiring sufficient baseline stability to engage fully. People currently managing acute mental health difficulties or crises will find more appropriate support through therapeutic or medical routes, and are welcome to return when the time is right.

Frequently asked questions

About the seminar

Insight I is an experiential transformation programme. It is not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment, and the facilitators do not act in any clinical or licensed therapeutic capacity during the seminar. The work is developmental rather than therapeutic in nature. If you are seeking clinical support for a mental health condition, a qualified professional is the right starting point.

The seminar is structured as a continuous arc across four sessions. Each session builds upon the last. The format includes short facilitated presentations, one-to-one exercises with other participants, small group work, and guided processes. Participation in any exercise is always voluntary. Nobody is asked to share anything they would prefer to keep private, and physical contact is not necessary.

Group sizes vary. Insight I typically runs with between 40 and 120 participants. The environment is held professionally regardless of group size, and many of the exercises are conducted 1-to-1 or in small groups, rather than in front of the whole room.

Most people who attend have already done some form of inner work. Insight I tends to reach the layer underneath: the gap between what you understand about yourself and how you actually show up under pressure. Prior development work is a benefit, not a barrier.

Insight I is an in-person programme. The experiential nature of the work, the 1-to-1 exercises, the group dynamics, and the quality of presence in the room are central to what it produces. Delivering this work online would not create the conditions that make it work.

Some participants choose to attend Insight I again, often after completing further levels of the pathway. Returning participants consistently report that the seminar offers a different quality of experience the second time, because they engage with it from a different place. If you are considering attending again, get in touch and we can discuss whether it makes sense for where you are.

Insight I concludes with a graduation ceremony, which is open to family and friends who would like to attend. The seminar does not confer a professional qualification.

Practicalities

Insight I in the UK is delivered in English. You need to be comfortable having conversations and engaging with exercises in English. The ability to communicate naturally in everyday conversation is sufficient; you do not need advanced or academic-level English.

Comfortable clothing suitable for movement; a notebook if you find it useful to write; and your full attention. Practical details about meals, parking, and what to expect each day will be confirmed in your pre-seminar email after you register.

The seminar is designed as a continuous journey and each session builds directly on the one before. We ask all participants to commit to the full 3.5 days. If you have a potential conflict, please contact us before registering.

Absolutely, yes. Please contact us before registering so we can ensure the right arrangements are in place. No request is too small to raise.

The seminar runs across four consecutive sessions from Thursday evening to Sunday. Some participants prefer to stay nearby rather than travel each day. Insight UK can provide guidance on accommodation options near the venue on request.

The pathway

Insight I is complete in itself. There is no expectation or pressure to continue. Most people who attend choose to continue further into the pathway because of what Insight I opens up for them. But that decision is always theirs to make, in their own time.

Yes. Insight I is the starting point for everyone, including those who have attended in other countries or in a previous period. If you have already completed Insight I and are interested in Insight II or further, please get in touch and we can advise on the best route forward.

Insight has no religious affiliation and promotes no ideology or belief system. The programme is secular and non-dogmatic. People from every background, faith tradition, and cultural context have found it valuable. What you take from it is entirely your own.

Insight UK is operated by Onefield Foundation, a UK charitable foundation. It is led by Rob Ungar, who founded Insight UK with a conviction that the programme’s return to Britain was both overdue and important.
